About Liminal Space
At the edges of the known and the unknown lies Liminal Space, our debut album. Conceived in the isolation of 2020 and nurtured over five years, this record finally emerges and takes shape.
Composed of twelve songs, Liminal Space carries the traces of the transformations we went through, which gave it countless forms. This album is the threshold, the transition between one thing and another. It is the space where nothing is fixed, and anything can begin – or end.
Liminal Space is an ambitious concept album that pushes the boundaries of Uruguayan rock into new sonic, emotional, and thematic territories. It invites listeners to inhabit uncertainty and find themselves through transformation, a vision that earned critical and audience acclaim, including a Graffiti Awards 2026 nomination for Best Metal & Hard Rock Album.

About Regina
Regina is an alternative rock / metal band from Montevideo, Uruguay, blending heavy, atmospheric sounds with raw emotional power. Ethereal yet relentless, introspective yet explosive, their music draws from grunge and alternative metal while forging a sound that is entirely their own. Deeply connected to their feminine essence, rage, and dark sensitivity, Regina has emerged as a standout act in their local scene.
Liminal Space began to take shape with Sofía May (vocals and keys), Agustín Sogliano (bass), Soledad García (guitar), and Nicolás Martín (drums). After a pause during the pandemic and a lineup change, the arrival of Valeria Sarro on guitar marked a new beginning. Recording started in 2024 across various studios in Montevideo. After recording drums, Nicolás moved to Canada, where the material was mixed and mastered by James Seabrook (Two Bodies of Water Productions, Alberta). To bring Liminal Space to the stage, Ignacio Hourcade joined on drums, having also recorded percussion for the album.
Regina has played iconic venues across Montevideo and earned a solid place in the scene, while actively fostering local culture by organizing events like the Feminoise Festival and Festival del Solsticio. Currently preparing for their next step in professionalization and growth, the band is hard at work on their upcoming music.
